Michelle Smith is the owner and creative director of Best Foot Forward Dance. She has 30 years of teaching in the USA and in Australia combined. Michelle started dance at the age of 7 and continued throughout her life in private and multi student classes at The Dance Studio in Maryland, USA. Michelle then went onto University to study music and dance at BCCC and then onto the prestige university of Goucher College in Maryland, USA with a scholarship. Michelle has her degree in Dance Teaching. Michelle has over 27 years of performance experience ranging from community theatres to professional performing in musicals both as an understudy for HELLO DOLLY to assistant choreographer for THE WIZARD OF OZ. Michelle has professionally performed, choreographed, directed, produced, costumed, hair and makeup and stage lighting and sets for multiple shows for children from the ages 11-18 as well as other musicals and straight plays to overwhelming acclaim. Michelle also has had her own studio in the USA which was very successful for several years. She is a mother and loves teaching dance to everyone. Michelle has a long history of scoring high with competitions in the USA winning gold to platinum awards and funding for her students. Michelle hopes to continue to offer her unique style of dance that is based in the USA to everyone. She has an all inclusive policy so all people can feel welcomed and part of the Best Foot Forward Dance family!
